CD/ DVD drive missing from My Computer.

CD/ DVD drive missing from My Computer.
Step: 1 Open My Computer, Check for the CD / DVD drive. If it’s not listed.
Step: 2 Open Add / remove programs, check for the software “Gear Drivers”
Step: 3 uninstall the Gear drivers, restart the computer
Step: 4 Open My Computer, Check for the CD / DVD drive, if still not present.
Step: 5 Start run type “regedit” click on OK.
Note: Before making changes to registry entries, take a back of registry editor.
How to take a backup of registry editor?
Step: 6 Click on File select Export .And select the range all, to take the entire registry backup.
Step: 7 Go to the following location “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}” in the right pane, Click UpperFilters and hit the delete key.
Then in the right pane, Click on LowerFilter and hit the delete key.
Step: 8 restart the computer.
